Unduplicated locations. Innovative architecture. Spectacular landscaping. Quality construction. Resort-like amenities. These are the defining characteristics of Grubb Ventures' properties.

One of the Triangle's premier developers and marketers of upscale properties, Grubb Ventures and the Grubb Companies have been pioneers in North Carolina's real estate industry since the turn of the century. In 1909, Henry Clay Grubb built what was then the tallest concrete-and-steel structure in North Carolina, a high-rise office building in downtown Salisbury.

Grubb Properties, Inc. founded in 1963, by Robert L. Grubb, Jr., Henry Clay Grubb's grandson, evolved from a developer of single-family affordable housing to become a fully integrated real estate company with development, construction, management, marketing and sales for residential/commercial and retail properties.

In 2002, Gordon Grubb left his family firm, Grubb Properties, to form Grubb Ventures. Under his leadership as President and CEO, the company had grown from a residential portfolio valued at approximately $50 million to a diverse portfolio valued in excess of $300 million. During that time, the company received the North Carolina Family Business of the Year Award from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and the North Carolina Family Business Forum.

Grubb Ventures was formed to develop infill properties that offer the highest quality of living and working environments. Their most recent development, The Gardens on Glenwood, won numerous awards including the Sir Walter Raleigh Appearance Award, the N.C. Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Artchitects Honor Award and the Triangle Commercial Real Estate Champion Award for Best Multifamily Development.

At 3700 Glenwood, Grubb Ventures is partnering with Anne Stoddard of the Stoddard Group. The Stoddard Group brings 20 years of commercial real estate development and investment experience.

"It's not just the building, not just the location. It's the idea, the vision." Gordon Grubb
